Those are fixed prices, not ranges, and they include a new 18th Edition consumer unit, all circuits, mains smoke alarms and the full NICEIC certificate. You can, but it is harder than most companies admit. There is no mains power at all from day one, which means no heating, no hot water, no cooker and no electric shower until the job is finished. We leave one temporary socket at the meter position so you can run an extension lead for a fridge, a lamp and phone charging. If you can move out for the 2 to 5 days, or the property is empty, the job runs faster and you will be far more comfortable.

Making good is the big one, and almost nobody tells you. Every rewire quote you receive in Warrington, ours included, covers the electrical work only. Chasing walls for cable leaves damage that needs plastering, and that is quoted separately by the plastering team we work with. A full rewire replaces every circuit, socket, switch, light fitting and the consumer unit throughout the property. A partial replaces only the circuits that have failed or been condemned on an EICR. A single circuit is £450 to £650, one full floor is £1,800 to £2,600 and a kitchen alone is £1,200 to £1,800. If the cable is rubber or fabric covered, a partial is money wasted, and we will say so even when the full job is the harder sell.

Yes, always, at no extra charge. Every rewire includes a Contactum Defender 2.0 consumer unit with an RCBO on every circuit and a surge protection device fitted as standard. It uses Type A devices throughout, which pick up the DC leakage that EV chargers and induction hobs produce and older devices can miss. The old board is removed and the change is notified to building control under Part P. As NICEIC registered contractors we handle the notification at no extra cost or effort from you.

Many do. Birchwood was built in the 1970s and 1980s, so original installations are now 40 to 50 years old and at the end of their design life. Missing RCD protection and deteriorated cable insulation are the common findings. Birchwood properties are usually quicker and cleaner to rewire than Victorian Latchford terraces because the cable routes are more predictable. An EICR from £99 is the sensible first step before committing to a rewire.

Almost always yes. Buyers increasingly request an EICR before exchange, and Birchwood and Latchford properties frequently fail one. A failed EICR hands the buyer leverage to reduce their offer by more than the rewire would have cost you.
